Elton Motello: Pogo Pogo

Bloodstains says:

II (1998): " .. Flip the record over for Mr Lou Deprijck again ! We explained you on vol I he was the mastermind behind Plastic Bertrand's 'Ca plane pour moi'. Well good old Lou thought he could do it again, but this time in English, so he picked up Brussels studio technician Alan Ward, transferred him into Elton Motello & had him write some new lyrics for two Plastic songs, resulting in the often covered 'Jet boy, Jet Girl'. The flip, 'Pogo pogo' is great as well, but maybe next time ... Also noteworthy is the 'Victim of time' lp from 1978 (including another version of 'Sha la la la lee', cfr Bloodstains I), but avoid any later material."

III (1999): "... We gave you the scoop on Elton Motello on our volume II & this is actual the A-side of that notorious single, which unfortunately never equalled the success of Plastic Betrand (& so remember that it is NOT Plastic singing, but Alan Ward !). But what you might not know is that previously to these recordings, Elton, aka Alan Ward, was in another band called The Strip & some of the other members were Brian James from the Damned & nobody less than Eef Kengen from Raxola ! Now if someone could dig some tapes of that !"
