Dit boekje hoort bij de CD "The Dirty Scums ~ Funerally Dressed", een CD die tot stand kwam ter gelegenheid van de jaarlijkse DorpsFeesten in SchuifersKapelle op 12, 13 en 14 september 2003. Onder het thema "Poëzie in het Dorp" werd een wandelroute uitgestippeld langs de huizen van de meeste Kapelse kunstenaars (waartoe ook The Dirty Scums worden gerekend). Die dragen dan in één of andere artistieke vorm hun steentje bij tot het kunstthema. De thuishaven van The Dirty Scums ligt op slechts enkele honderden meters van het plaatselijke kerkhof, dat dus ook op de wandelroute is gelegen. Uit deze link ontsproot het idee om uit het liedjesarchief van The Dirty Scums enkele nummers te bundelen die over dood en overlijden gaan. Het resultaat is deze compilatie-CD met een selexie van vier nummers plus een bonus-track waarin ook Schuiferskapelle onsterfelijk is gemaakt. De gekozen nummers zijn erg persoonlijk, vandaar de titel "The Dirty Scums in Rouwkledij". De CD kost 2,50 € en is slechts in zeer beperkte oplage beschikbaar.

This booklet accompanies the CD "The Dirty Scums ~ Funerally Dressed", a CD made on the occasion of the yearly festivities in the small village of SchuifersKapelle on 12, 13 and 14 September 2003. The theme of this year is "Poetry in the Village", and a walking-tour was outlined along the houses of most of the artists of the village (The Dirty Scums are considered one of them). These artists contribute in some artistic way to the theme of the year. The home of The Dirty Scums is only some hundreds of metres from the local cemetery, which is also along the walking-tour. This link was the basis for the idea to bundle some songs of the song-archive of The Dirty Scums that deal with the death. The result is this compilation-CD with a selexion of four songs plus a bonus-track in which also Schuiferskapelle is made immortal. The chosen songs are very personal, hence the title. The CD costs 2,50 € and is released in very limited edition.
