After commercial record companies had been hyping yet another genre following the punk mania of the end of the seventies, the independent European and American D.I.Y.-punk scene culminated in the eighties. The Belgian punk scene was booming as well and the provincial town of Tielt was a highly commendable centre within this subculture. Thanks to the former Marbel pub numerous gigs with national and international punk bands were organized. Also in Tielt there were a number of bands who left their musical mark on the Belgian punk scene of the eighties. Never before people could listen so perfectly well and simultaneously to these four bands playing as on this double-cd. However, you will never see them perform on stage again, except for The Dirty Scums, of course ! Since the lead singer-guitarist of the Repulsives passed away, a Repulsives reunion is simply out of the question. But it proved equally impossible to reunite No Numbers and Get Stuffed, in spite of the material and the rehearsal space we offered them to prepare a once-only reunion gig. But don’t worry ! Put the kids to bed, fetch some bottles of beer from the cellar, pull your wife onto your lap, listen to these bands playing and enjoy the eighties punk, time and again as you please !
