EARLY BANDS

Early bands are bands in which members of The Dirty Scums played before they became a Dirty Scum.

PIK - ZJANTIE - KEEZ

PIK

Machine Head

Machine Head (named after an album from Deep Purple) was a four-piece melodic hardrockband from Roeselare which existed already for several years when PIK joined the band in 1980. He played rhythm guitar and the band gigged about seven times until they stopped in 1982. When PIK formed THE DIRTY SCUMS in 1981, Machine Head's drummer, ANIMAL, also joined the Scums. Machine Head never released anything.

ZJANTIE (Scum since 1983)

The Patrick Boys

The band with this idiot name was a duo consisting of ZJANTIE and an organ/accordeon-player. They existed from 1978 till 1983 and did a lot of gigs, including one with the Belgian famous lunatic Eddy Wally.

Up To Date

Up To Date, a four-piece hardrockband, was one of the numerous bands of guitarhero Celle Trioen. In 1982 ZJANTIE (who joined The Dirty Scums in 1983) played a few months in it, till the band stopped. Celle later became popular all over Belgium with the bluesband Red Rooster. Up To Date never gigged and never released anything.

KEEZ (Scum since 1994)

Get Stuffed

Get Stuffed was a good classic punkband that existed from 1984 till 1990. Their hometown was Aarsele, a satellite town from Tielt, home of the Scums. KEEZ was a founding member of the band and played with it during all of its existence. He first played the drums for a year, then switched to the bassguitar. Their story is a bit simular to that of The Dirty Scums: after some changes in the line-up, they continued from 1985 on as a trio. Get Stuffed played seven times together with The Dirty Scums. Get Stuffed released one demo on fifty copies, and appeared on some compilation tapes.

Alice D and the Noiseboys

Alice D and the Noiseboys (named after LSD) were a five-piece rockband from 1992 till 1993. KEEZ played all the time the bass. They gigged two times. Alice D and the Noiseboys never released anything.
